Well, the holidays are finally over and its time to get back into production mode.
We have had some serious winter storms for our area over the last month. Snow down to the valley floor, ice, and serious wind storms have made a mess. Lots of people have been calling Hueller Construction to look at helping them with their damage assessment and providing information to the insurance companies. Along with our regular projects, this has got the phone ringning pretty well and we are glad for the interest. Clients will have to be patient!

As I look out the window, the Oregon sky says that fall is really here now. We are fortunate to have a decent amount of work in the mill for a small construction company. JD has been busy with gutters now that the rain is coming. Darin and Karl have been doing a lot of decks and patio covers this year. We are going to race the weather as long as we can, plan for a spell of inside work, and always be ready for our marketing efforts to continue to pay off.

Its hard to believe its already the 4th of July. Today I took one of our fire trucks in the local small town parade (along with several fellow firefighters and their kids). We have been doing this for several years. It seems like there were more people at the parade than in years past, likely due to the cost of fuel keeping more folks closer to home.

Today our family got together and celebrated the life of my Grandma Hueller, who passed away in April at the age of 99 (she almost made 100 – wow!). She was the last of my grandparents to pass away, and she left behind a legacy of 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. May my life be as wonderful as her’s was!

Well, I finally did it. I spent the money and bought my own copy of Chief Architect – 3D design software. It will take me a while to get up to speed so I can actually be productive and help out clients with visualizing their projects. Here is a sample of a patio we are designing for a client.
